My First Set Of Tarot Cards
« on: March 28, 2013, 12:01:44 PM »
I am very, very, excited as I just received my first set of Tarot Cards.

They are "The Universal Tarot Of Marseille", by Claude Burdel and Lee Bursten.

There are 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana. Have yet to open each deck, but will do so later today.

These Cards were my second order, so I will need to check when the other set will arrive.

Why did I choose this deck, just a gut feel.

Even, unopened they seem to be "talking to me"; does that make any sense?

Fantastic Simon! Yes that's the deck you should go for , the one that talks to you. You connect with the deck and should have a wonderful time getting to know them.

I think I have about 60 or 70 decks, plus the deck I channelled. I have two huge trunks full!

Another addiction, but a really cool one !

Great Simon, enjoy them. Your other deck shouldn't be far behind this one I would think.

GG and Roma, thank you.

This is certainly a new direction for me, which I am looking forward to.

Just need to ensure my wife's relatives don't find out. They are very strict Catholics and would not be happy about Tarot Cards.

It always amazes me that people will arc up over things that is really none of their buisness!

I have relatives like that. They just don't understand them. It's fear related in their case. I just don't have them lying around etc... which I wouldn't do anyway just to keep them in good condition.

You come into my house, you either shut up or get out. I will never hide who I am from anyone. Yes there is relos who don't like it, but hey, I don't like them, and I didn't need a spell to keep them away!

Seriously though, partners in life should respect each others likes and dislikes. For me, I wouldn't be able to live with someone who so outrightly disagreed with the way I am and consistently had a go at me about it so that I felt I had to be secretive, that's not love to me. Family? Really none of their business and if the partner cannot stand up for you and protect you, then we may as well be back burning the witches.

Most of the catholics I know get tarot readings!

I would concentrate on one deck while you get the feel for it or else you can confuse yourself.

Christine, thank you for your advice, when the other deck comes I will put them away until I am confident that I understand each card and their individual meanings of this deck first.

GG, you are correct, but life has given me these challenges for a reason so I need to let it play out to see what happens.

Yell when necessary, be quiet all the rest of the time. That's my motto.  Why invoke conflict when it is not needed?  If they don't know then they're happy and harmony reins.  If they see them and ask just tell them 'oh, they're porno cards I got on the internet featuring famous religious leaders in coitus'.  Bet you they immediately stop talking !!!!!

If you cannot love, then at least don't hate.
If you cannot help, then at least don't hurt.

Gary, you always make laugh.

Strangely enough my wife rearranged our bedroom wardrobes, while I was out watching a movie. She saw the cards, because they had been moved. But has not said anything.

Hopefully she won't have ago at me later, but seems okay about it.

Wonder what she will say when I start buying Crystals / Stones!!!
