Dear Lurkers,
we are taking the extraordinary step of closing lurking accounts. Those lurkers who have not posted or are not active at all on the forum will find their accounts closed. This action will stop a couple of issues we have encountered with alternate groups coming onto our forum and misreprsenting us to sites we are investigating. We do know who you are.
Thanks
Admin Team

All it takes is a few bad apples.
You know what they say, some resort to making others look bad in order to make themselves look good.
I'm sure they'll understand it when I say "What goes around comes around"
[I rule soo bad]

luckly im back :D

ALL I CAN SAY IS "THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING!"
-
Good move!!!!
-
I like Christmas pudding
[I rule soo bad]
-
i hate pudding blahh, i hate LURKERS too
-
If lurkers tasted like pudding then I'd like them too
[I rule soo bad]
-
I love pudding. I made puddings this year! Yum.I don't like lurkers.
Sadly lurkers can read every part of the forum including investigatins pending or events. This gives them the opportunity to contact the venues and either get in before us or say things which are not true about us. Sdaly the venue knows no different if they are a new venue.
Some groups I guess must feel threatened by us and resort to these games. We do however know who they are. We are waiting for them to read this first before we act.
Legitimate forum participants will not be affected at all.
Thanks
Christine

Those "others" must be very selfish and spiteful to do such things. What makes people behave like that towards other groups/people????? It's very childish i think. I wish everyone could just learn to respect each other for who they are instead of constant competition. It really annoys me that people find such pleasure in destroying other peoples reputations/plans/happiness.
I was burnt by my own "sister" with her spitefulness. She caused such grief for me and my man that I no longer consider her a member of my family, nor exists for that matter.
If people just let people be the world would be so much better.
I find everyone on here (well, the topics that I've read anyway) to be opinionated, yet accepting of each other. Keep up the good work everyone, I enjoy being a member of this forum.
To the lurkers - lurk off elsewhere !!!! What benefit do you accomplish doing what you do????

i like coming on and reading, i dont post because i find it hard to put into words what i want to say sometimes, does this mean because i dont post i will be deleted? .iam a lurker if coming reading and learning and trying to understand is a lurker then iam sorry iam of no benifit to anyone because i havent posted .i must be pretty dumb because i really dont understand if this means me or not.if someone could just tell me if iam here or if iam going or if i have gone ..thanks
-
Bigbird please don't feel we are targeting you, ofcourse you are welcome here, just post a hello I'm still here every now and then. We have been the victim of spiteful rumours and vindictive behavour of late and we really have no other way to try to sort this out thatn to eliminate people who join and then never post. We can only assume that one or more of these people is the one activly trying to hurt us. If anyone had a better system to stop this we would like to hear about it!
-
ok i will make a point of saying hi in the cafe place once a month at least .. if i can remember lol..i know its rude not to talk but i get caught up in reading ..one day i might get game enough to post a story or two .. good luck finding who ever is causing the problems.
-
Hi Bigbird,
no it is not for people who come on and are known to us. It's not for people who come and read and post only a few times. It is for people who have had accounts for months and post nothing at all and are on here all the time to basically gain information on our work and events to use the information against us in some fashion as we have had see happen recently. We know you, your cool. No worries.
Christine

thanks christine nice to be known ..i think..great to be cool..hope you catch the rotten worm
-
We banned quite a few people yesterday as well as inactive accounts. Hopefully that will fix the problem.
Thanks
Christine

This thread needs to resurface.
-
Damn Straight skippy I put up Another thread in another area just to log the lurking guests, as i didnt have time to check each ip addie sorry.
-
People need to realize that we want them to post.
Though some of us have known each other for ages, we aren't 'clicky' and hope you don't see us that way.
Everyones thoughts and opinions are as valuable as anyone else's....so please post and let us read yours!
-
WELL Said CE's !!!!!!
-
I agree. And if people feel out of their comfort zone with the paranormal stuff (although they are on a paranormal forum after all) then they can post up a news article, or participate in a game etc.
There are plenty of options. When someone is spending 24 hours on here and has 30 posts, you have to wonder what they are up to.
Our figures tell us for every 1 hour on here people average 11 posts.
-
There are still alot of people on here that have spent 5 hours and more online without introducing themselves or placing any posts. After 2 hours our system triggers a person as a possible lurker and we generally send a PM asking them to introduce themselves. When they do not we start to get suspicious. A couple of hours should be sufficient time to feel comfortable enough to say hello to us.
Similarly if you have spent more than 12 hours online and have less than 50 posts, we start asking questions. We have an average number of posts per hour spent online that gives us an indication as to who is lurking anf who is participating.
-
Hello forum friends,
We have noticed an increase, in fact a marked increase in people coming to the forum and reading for hours but not posting one single thing.
This leads to issues because if everyone did this, there would be nothing to read due to no-one posting.
It would be great if you enjoy reading the forum you posted so others who also enjoy reading the forum would have something to read.
Without posters, the forum becomes a lifeless place.
Cheers
Christine

Why not stop in and introduce yourselves? We would love to hear of any experiences you may have had, or even what first got you into the paranormal in the first place
-
...... or you might have just received an email of the latest joke doing the rounds..... that you could post in the 'Lighten Your Load' section.
-
or if you have been away for a while..do an "i'm back!, did you miss me?post"..we'd like to be able to welcome you back if you have been away..
-
You only get back what you put in.
-
I agree with all of the above.
Drop in and say hello. Don't be shy.... :)
-
I am currently on lurk patrol.
-
Thank you, good work. We wondered where you had been.
-
I have just returned from a surveying tour of Africa.
Had a near miss with a hippo upturning my boat in crocodile infested waters.
-
when I first read that TGK I thought it said you had a near miss with a hippo URINATING in your boat ....
I think i need more sleep...
-
GOD...even crocodiles wont eat you, thats got to say something!
-
They wouldn't dare eat him would they? One glare and they would scatter!
-
I was thinking that perhaps they were fussy about what they put in their mouths...I know I am!
-
rofl

That was an interesting read! Not paranormal at all but very shady.
Sometimes I do not like humans at all, well I like a few but basically that's it.
-
I feel the same some of the time Casaly. Today is one of those times.
-
Probably not the right thread for this but are you ok Christine? It's those days when I just DETEST people than I am glad I live in the middle of no where...
Feel free to come visit me and my shadow people anytime! :)
No Lurkers Allowed. Btw.
-
I am ok. struggling but ok. Hopefully tomorrow ill be better.
-
today seems to have been a day when people get up other people's noses very badly....
-
Chin up everyone. Sometimes it can be weird. This is why I interact more with animals I guess.
-
Me too Colleen!!!
-
My perfect job right now would be something I didn't have to deal with people to be honest...
-
Hi Casay, yes, I am so glad there is someone else like me. Animals are true friends.
Hi Christine, I really hope things improve quickly and that you can relax very soon. Don't let anyone spoil your day.
-
Oh sorry, Casaly, I spealt your name incorrectly. Sorry.
-
Glop. I am checking lurking logs.
-
Ok, well I'll just leave you to it then.
-
Puts away trench coat... I was not lurking mister, honest, merely skulking.
-
Haven't heard from TOB for a while. Is he lurking? Or just going beserking.... (sorry).
-
lol, what's TOB?
-
the old bard :)
-
Ah, yes he has been quiet.
I miss his wit
his sense of fun
for just a bit
he should re-tun!
-
He comes and goes, and ebbs and flows,
I lose track of where I'll find him next,
I sometimes wonder if he's still alive,
Or if I'm putting him off with my poetry that never wants to ryhyme.
-
The Old Bard is great fun
To find him we have won
ummm, still thinking.....

Thank you for not deleting me even though I haven't been in here for a couple of years now. It's been a crazy time and am only now just starting to find myself again. I hope to be able to make more of a presence these days. Hello again everyone!
Vicki :)
