New Years Day I was chatting to a shop keeper in Marysville who I am friendly with. While I was there she received a call from a local farmer warning her to get her hubby to watch their cattle. Seems a local had gone for an early morning walk along a bush track, while out she saw a very large, very black puma-like animal cross the trail up a head of her. She got a very good look before she beat a hasty retreat. This is just over the mountain from our place, only a few K. I would be surprised if this makes the paper.
Only around 10% of sightings ever do!
I did toy with the idea of going to look for it myself, but I know how upset you all would be should I end up being the first woman to be eaten by the cat, so I decided to go home and crack open a bottle of red instead!

My money's on you CE. But if you do, take a video with you and leave it running LOL

Ohhh but we don't want to end up with one of those events where someone finds an abandoned camera.....and the last image on it is some great black cat face, and sounds of screaming. PMSL.

If its screaming, I'm winning LOL

PMSL..... too true.

I went to the zoo recently and visited the lions at feeding time. The lions were waiting for dinner right up at the glass; on the other side I was less than an arm's length away from a lioness. She was so beautiful and she looked into my eyes. I wished I could touch her. I had to keep reminding myself that she would eat me given a fraction of a chance.
So I sympathise with the temptation to go looking for that puma ce!

We got to feed lions, tigers, bears and all manner of animals at the Zoo this week. It was amazing having a bear licky honey from your hand. Interestingly the woman who lead the experience said their 3 bears were from the old Bullens Circus. She said they weren't able to look after them anymore. She said that most of the animals were sent to zoos etc except the ones that got away. I couldn't get any more info from her on what got away but Bullens were at the foothills of the Blue Mountains. I know they had big cats. So you have to wonder what got away. Luckily it wasn't a bear!

There have been a couple of well documented reports of a bear sighted in the Blue Mountains from Memory. Also some reports on a sighting of a very full-manned African lion
