Daylesford Ghost Tours 2011
« on: May 30, 2011, 12:29:21 AM »
Ghost Tours!

The Convent, home to some of Daylesford's oldest history. Once a castle for the gold commisioner. Then home to Nuns and also a boarding school.

More than 140 years of history have impregnated the walls of this magnificent 19th century mansion, once a castle for the Gold Commissioner. Walk with us as we explore The Convent by night and hear the tales of a bygone era and what tales it has to tell! Tread in the paths of the Nuns who lived here for more than 80 years, some of whom still remain behind overseeing their home. As the mist rolls over The Convent, we begin our lamp lit journey into the world of the unknown, of those who are still earthbound.

If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.

Hi everyone, myself and hubby did the Convent Gallery tour on Saturday night and it was fantastic.  It was great to meet Christine and Lots of Kids.  The commentary was absolutely terrific.  Myself and hubby Wylie found the chapel very interesting.  Wylie (who is a bit of a sceptic) felt inclined to approach the chapel altar, but alas he did not and only told me about this later.  We experienced some activity in the room next to the chapel which was so exciting for me, but unfortunately this activity did not follow us.  I am a bit disappointed in myself because I think that maybe I could have been more receptive.  Does this happen to others sometimes.

The next day my sister and I did a day tour of Blackrock House and met Carolyne who is lovely.  We were privileged because we were the only people there for over an hour and she informed us of the happenings at the night vigil which was held there by Spookspotters and wow, I can't wait for the night tour which we are doing on 13th July.  I hope the cellar is open for that night and I hope I can be more open and receptive on the night as well.

Sorry, I believe that Spookspotters did not do the vigil at Blackrock House.

Sppokspotters definately did Black Rock House, Colleen.  I was there, LOL.  We got some very intersting EVP's.  The cellar is very creepy, LOL.

Yes it was Spookspotters as we discussed on the night of the Convent Tour, we did Blackrock House twice in fact.

Hi Christine and Lotsakids,  re the tour at The Convent Gallery, hubby just casually mentioned to me this morning that he had a dream about the spirit in the room adjacent the chapel.  He dreamt that it is a female who's name is Jennifer.  Maybe it was just on his mind when he went to sleep.  What do you think.

Wylie was told when a lot younger, that he has skills he should develop as a medium.  He was told he had the gift and his mother (who is passed away now) had the gift as well, but did not pursue it, same as Wylie.  Can this gift be pursued and expanded upon.

We havent heard of a Jennifer, but thats not to say there isnt one..

interesting coincidence? I just turned Mcleods daughters on tv, and an old bloke got knocked over..Stevie helps pick him up and he says 'jennifer, is that you, you've come back!'
I was reading your post about Jennifer, and as I am reading it...Stevie says..'So, who's Jennifer?'

Christine will tell you more about developing skills as a medium.

How coincidental is that. Love McLeods Daughters.

There is a thread on here about developing your psychic/mediumship ability and whether you should or not.

I tend not to call it a gift. You can search that too, some interesting reading.

I haven't ever picked up a Jennifer or heard of one there personally.

Last nights tour was so active. Father was rather upset in the museum. He tripped of the K2 to bright red for a prolonged period of time.

We had footsteps in the St Lawrence room, banging and tapping, mens voices and a lady feeling slightly choked around her throat on the chapel landing.
