It makes me truly angry that peoplpe lie to take the publics money like this whilst trying to sell the experience as a legitimate place.

It's completely bogus in my honest opinion based on my personal experiences.

Christine, re: the no photos rule. It might be due to all the flash photos people take. Or they might just be aholes.

Get a pen cam. They are all the rage for buddies spies. It's looks like a regular pen, even writes like a regular pen but it's also a video camera. Just clip it to your pocket, shirt or coat and it will shoot video while you walk around. No one will ever know! 25 bucks on ebay.

I have a pen cam, but didn't take it with me. It's a very very good one and I use it a lot.

The furniture wasn't original but was to the period apparently, so they can't be too worried about artifacts being damaged and if that were the case they could stipulate no flash only.

I believe it was solely because they wanted you to buy the postcards and books.

sorry, I lost interest when you said they ban you from taking photos.  The curtain came down and their ghost tour was lost in the oblivion of crap scheisters and rip-off merchants...

Quitew a lot of places ban pics because they are selling them on postcard format.
