I remember you now!

Yay! Thanks Christine (and Mary)! It was lovely to meet you and hear about some of the characters who are still 'living' in the house. I recommend it to anyone who is thinking about going along.

Quo Vadis felt quite unwell in the pool room. He was just about to leave the room when we all moved out anyway. That room didn't worry me much though. I felt a bit uneasy in some spots upstairs. Like I was being watched.

Coincidentally (?) there were two people who sit just near me at work on the same tour. We had such a great time that we have decided to go on a ghost tour rampage of Victoria! Any recommendations are most welcome.

Drop in to the Convent at Daylesford. Tell Quo Vadis we will protect him. I think they have a couple of spare spots for friday 13th August.

Thank you Christine and Mary for an enthralling tour!

Como House has such a dense atmosphere, there is that smoky otherland presence right from the start in the firelit ballroom. It just gets more fascinating as the tour winds through the hallways and grand rooms glimmering with shadow-filled mirrors.

There's a banquet of dramatic and touching history at the house. It was captivating hearing it told two different ways. Spookspotters investigated Como House 'blind' before designing the tour; I loved the back-and-forth of Christine relating the Spookspotters' mediums' personal encounters with the spirits in the house, then Mary replying with her detailed research.

The best thing about the tour was that the spirits showed up! Being in the tragic Frederick's room was literally nearly heartstopping. Caroline, the matriarchal presence chilled us as she circled her bedroom, pausing to talk with Christine and one of the National Trust staff. I was even prodded in the leg when I grew critical of one of the spirits.

Christine and Mary, your warmth, authenticity and humour were so enjoyable. You are so modest and practical about your work, it only made it more wonderfully spooky when Christine warned us to keep up if she started running!

Thanks again :D :D :D
