How can I find out?
« on: March 12, 2007, 12:44:42 PM »
I have been seeing things at my house..
Things moving out of the corner of my eye, hearing taps on my windows and doors closing.. This is at night when everything is closed..
What could I do to see if any thing is here?
Someone said to set up a Trigger object thing, is this reliable? And what should I use??
Any help would be great!
Thanks guys!

A trigegr object can be almost anything, try a glass upside down on a piece of paper, draw the outline around the base of the glass and leave it on a flat solid surface where you are sure no-one can accidently bump it and leave it overnight. Keep us posted Eb.

Ebie, do you have a scrabble board?  Why not try leaving the tiles out by the door you hear opening, or where you feel things are the most active.  The theory is that they can move the tiles to make words.  Ofcourse you need to know no one else will be moving them.

You could also set up a recorder to try and catch the taps on your windows, or you may get lucky and capture and evp.  Worth a try.

Hi Ebbie

It is indeed possible you may have resident or visiting spirit in your house.
Has the unsual activity only just started occuring?
Best thing to do in your situation would be to set up those trigger object/s as described, also I would advise leaving a tape recorder or audio recording device of some nature in an empty undisturbed room with the windows closed, and door shut.. You may be supised at what EVP you pick up. This is generally the most effective way I find to test whether there are spirits present, if they can communicate with us some how, and let us know that they are there - then trust me, they will..

Have you taken any photograph's of your house recently? Especially in the area's where the unusual activity occurs most frequently.. Give this a try, orbs, strange figures, and other unexplained photo anomilies often show up on camera in haunted locations.

Let us know how you go.. Good Luck..

a scrabble board? Hmmm...how many points would the ghost get if they effectively use all their chips by spelling out "GET OUT"

No high letters there Tool.  The spirit would need to incorperate the letters K...B....Z...X to get a worthwhile score!
