I Hope You Wiped Your Feet
« on: February 25, 2014, 07:53:17 PM »
So this has been playing on my mind all day and I feel the need to just get it down in print somewhere, maybe for posterity or something, or maybe just to get it out..

We've had a few odd things in this house for a while now. While it was empty and before we moved in, we'd hear a noise up hallway but could never find the source. Since we moved in, we haven't heard it again. Alone one evening doing some painting I thought I caught a glimpse of a short lady in a long dress. It was just a dark outline and it was gone as quickly as I thought I saw it. Another day I was shifting things in one of the bedrooms and thought I heard my husband come in. I peeked out the bedroom door and down the hallway and swear I saw a tallish man with a drapey type coat that fell to a length between hip and knee. It felt like I saw him for maybe a count of around 2 seconds and as I was staring at the spot he just vanished. But it was long enough to know I saw a 'something' that looked an awful lot like a 'someone'.

We finally moved in at the end of October. Not long after, one of the smoke detectors started making weird beeping erratic noises one afternoon. Thought it was a flat battery so changed it over, but that didn't solve it. Bought another detector incase it was faulty, but kept the original there as well. It's been working fine ever since. Just that one afternoon that it sporadically played up. But maybe there's a reasonable explanation..?

We also often hear a noise in our loungeroom, like a cup being put down onto a saucer or maybe a spoon tapping against the side of a bowl... a real ceramic-china type noise anyway. The loungeroom wasn't used by the previous owners, maybe only a couple of winters over the span of about 40yrs, as they used another room as their loungeroom and the one we use now was kept closed up.  The house we are in was built 40yrs ago on the footprint of a much older house which was built in the late 1910's and burned down in 1942.

Now this morning I very clearly heard heavy footsteps crossing from the door, through the kitchen and over to the dining room. Very clear and very distinct. I thought my husband must've forgotten something and come in with his boots on. I opened my mouth to call out to him when I looked out the window and saw him driving around the driveway. Then as I realised it couldn't be him it clicked that I didn't hear the noisy sliding door open or close anyway.  Today is the 20th anniversary of a death in the house, which is why I have a hunch that I know who it was.

There are a few other things that have gone on too on other parts of the property, and we feel that we know who it's likely to be that is making himself known. But the two shapes I saw in the house don't actually correspond to anyone who ever lived here, so they're stumping me. The property has been in the family ever since it was selected in 1886, and of the 4 generations who owned it, we are only the 3rd generation to live here.  So does anyone have any thoughts? Could they be sticky-beaks that just randomly popped in to see what we were up to? I was told that the visitors we had in our old cottage where we lived on the property before, were old pioneers who just liked to pop in coz they liked to soak up the happy vibes in our house, could they have followed us to this house?

Not scared by any of it, just curious.

Today's events could certainly be an anniversary haunting.

I guess my biggest question is why aren't you using psychic protection for you and for your house? That would have prevented sticky beaks and anything following you. Not everything that is capable of following you won't hurt you. Psychic protection should be practised whether you have ability or not and clearly you have some ability.
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.

Good point Christine, as someone who never used Psychic Protection most of my life, I have been using it 24x7 for many months now, especially given recent events.

To practice five things under all circumstances constitutes perfect virtue;

These five are gravity, generosity of (the) soul, sincerity, earnestness and kindness.

Thanks Christine. I have tried to use a bit of protection both at this house and the old place too, but I know I lack proper education with this and maybe you can tell me what I could be doing wrong or add any suggestions, please?

At the moment, what I do is visualise a huge white 'sheet' (for want of a better word) and envision it made out of a silky parachute type material so that it floats like a big domed bubble above the property. And I indiviually visualise each and every corner of the property and 'peg' it down in each corner. Because the property is so vast, I also visualise 'pegs' pinning it down at intervals so that there's no gaping bits. When I do this I ask Archangel Michael and my guides to help me fill the bubble with white light and love and ask them to please escort anything negative off the property. While I do this I also visualise individual clear bubbles around myself, husband and each of the kids and ask that we be kept safe and well, and protected by their love and light.

That's pretty much about it.  I admit I don't do this every day, but for the past few of years I have been doing it maybe once every couple of weeks, with an extra one thrown in here or there when there's a stressful event that is impacting any one of our family.

I thought about trying to find someone to smudge the house when we moved in, because it had sat here empty (save for our painting and maintenance visits) for almost 14 months before we moved in. Do you think that would be a good idea? Nothing here feels negative, it's very much quite the opposite really, but I also know that it's not always wise to get too complacent.

Do it every night Deka and it will work for negative energies and the usual fly-by spirits.

Thanks CE. I'll try to get into the habit of doing it every night.
