TOUR INFORMATION (Reservations are essential)
Tours depart daily, from outside the Britomart train station in lower Queen Street, Auckland. Look for the ghost walker with the lantern. We walk no more than 4 km, in all weather. The tour lasts approximately 2 hours. Dress appropriately for Auckland weather conditions.
Terms and conditions
Tours are subject to change without notice and without incurring liability. Extra tours will be added to accommodate large groups. Anyone who, in the opinion of the Tour Leader, is physically unfit, is intoxicated or adversely affected by alcohol or drugs, will not be permitted to take part in the tour. No refunds for tours cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. There are no tours on Good Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Years Eve.

Hi everyone,
Darren and I did the Auckland Ghost Tour on Friday night. We had a great time. Anthony was a wonderful guide. We walked about 4kms including up one very large hill, I thought it was going to get the better of me.
A wonderful mix of murder, death and history. We heard stories from the wharf and docklands, up the hill past the theatre area, right up to the University. The tour was amazing and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Auckland.

The docks are saw the introduction of the influenza in 1918. The influenza epidemic that struck New Zealand between October and December 1918 still stands as the country’s worst disease outbreak ever. It claimed 8600 lives – including 1128 in the Auckland region. Auckland was closed down and bodies were piled in public areas all over the city.

We also heard about Freda Stark, an Auckland theatre performer and where the origin of the phrase Stark Naked came from. She perfomed basically naked in the theatre and was a hit amongst the servicemen of the time. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=134969992
