I have heard of cases of 'doubles' or multi-manifestations etc... but not of any traditional doppelgangers other than fictional.  But then, once you are taken over, you probably don't talk about it LOL.

I did actually hear that a doppelganger took over Julia Gillard.  But it rejected her...

If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.

Catseyes, quite correct, DG's are out to "replace" the one they are bonded too and will do anything to achieve this end.

Do you maybe think it's just a time shift situation? or perhaps even a residual haunt? I've read things where there have been cases of residual haunts of living people especially in their own homes on in places the frequent. I mean energy has to go somewhere and it might be possible that a recording or what has been is just playing back.

If it's a time shift it could be either a future or past self playing back.

I hope this made sense as it's quite a tripy thing.

Grave.Disorder, my opinion is that it is not a residual haunt, but a very specific one, which has one specific objective, that being to replace the person being haunted.

"Residual energy" almost always sticks pretty much to a specific area. There are many reasons for residual energy, but  for me, the outcome is the creation of either positive or negative energy. An example of this is where a house may have had one owner and that owner (family) were pretty much a happy family and then the house goes up for sale. When I have gone through the house I can pick up on the positive energy, which is a wonderful feeling.

There are times where the opposite occurs and it is not very good and in my case can be so bad as to create a feeling of nausea. Not a good feeling at all.

Residual energy can stay in a specific spot for hundreds / thousands of years.

I often wonder if it is somehow connected with the 'multiverse'.   If every time we make a decision we split , then when we see a doppleganger we are just seeing momentarily into another reality where we have chosen a different path or action to do that day.

CE I agree; I think that there is indeed a multiverse, which can be accessed via Portals, but it is a very dangerous thing to open a Portal without the necessary controls; not that I have dared open one myself!! LOL

On another note, I have been interested in UFO's since I saw one in my early teens. Like humans I believe some are good and others may not be.

Also I don't think that all spirits in jails are evil, some are merely angry / frustrated about their circumstances.

Yes we know a great deal about portals.

Alien, my understanding is, a doppelgänger is a flesh replica of someone.

Bilocation involves someone's astral body travelling and being seen elsewhere from the flesh body.

Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.
