Looks fabulous...very easy on the eye...well done. ;D
-
Looks like the search engine spiders (MSN, Yahoo, Google) lunged at the site about a minute after I opened it again. Just a tad over zealous
-
Brilliant!
-
Looks great J. Thank you so much!!!
-
Looks great, well done :)
-
Looks pretty snazzy. Just two things I don't like.
1. Input areas need better differentiation
2. clickable buttons (e.g. post, preview, spell check) could do with looking more like the 'REPLY' button....
Otherwise it has a very simple, clean and dark (yes!) feel that I like.
-
For the input area, do you mean with quick reply? Would it be better if the Quick Reply input area had a border like the normal reply text input area?
I've made it look more like then normal reply text input area.

Love the starlit feeling, the fan-shaped glow in the header suggests lightworkers to me. Brilliant! Such a smooth transition too.
I liked the view through the stone window from the old header, the new window image could be a bit bigger to show more detail as at this size to me it looks a little like Dr Who heading for the Tardis :D Not that that is necessarily a bad thing.
Very well done, worth being proud of Jazza and Christine!
-
have only just logged in, looks good so far. Well done Jazza
-
Sexy.
-
Having the border is OK but the inside bit could perhaps be gray or something...
-
Cool, thanks for the input Gary. J will take a look at that.
Yes the transition was brilliant. We think it all works lol.....
I didn't have much to do with it to be honest. It was all J.
-
Very nice look guys.
Before I forget, I am saying goodbye to MS and hello Apple. Received an early birthday present in the form of an Apple note book.
-
The Macs are much more reliable - and I started my career before PCs were invented! BUT they are much more proprietary and that can cause issues if you like doing shady things like copying bought DVDs etc. But in my job I couldn't afford to take that risk anyway so it's no loss LOL.
-
Can't stand MAC, I threw mine from the second storey of my house and smashed it on the ground. It was new too. Piece of crap it was.
-
Looks great :D
-
Grey? Darker or light? I'm assuming darker?
-
like the new look

Mac users, I just updated my browser to Safari version 5.1 and it can't load more than one or two pages consecutively of this site. Effing Safari. So I'm using Firefox to visit here, which works perfectly.
-
I always use Firefox. I find it the most intuitive to use.... however, if safari is having issues after an update then that is something that needs to be looked at because it IS one of the commonly used browsers. Do we have stats Christine on what people are using when they visit?
-
BTW. Does it give you an error? What sequence of clicks/typing etc produces the result. I will try to replicate it on my Mac.
-
I believe that Jazza does. I will ask him.
-
The new format looks fabulous. Well done to all involved!
-
Gary, the sequence to error is :
load site (from bookmark) >
new replies or unread posts >
topic 1 (loads) >
back or topic 2 >
the progress indicator across the URL line stops about level with the first 'w' of 'www'--it pauses here when loading each page but eventually gets there with previous pages >
a few minutes later, 'Safari can't open the page "(page URL" because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again.'
I have tried emptying the cache, this allows me to reload topic 2 but attempting to navigate again produces the same error.
-
I'm still on 5.06 .... will try when I upgrade.
-
Maybe hold off on upgrading until they fix the bugs!
-
J had surgery yesterday and is not well. It may be days before he can look at it. Thanks for the error message. I will let him know when he is back on deck.
-
Sorry to hear J isn't well. Comfort and fast healing to him.
-
Great job to all concerned. It looks wonderful.

noice..
