HISTORY & MYSTERY - Night Tours of the Old Gaol
Publication:

News Date: 1/05/2005

Step back into Albany's dark side! See the hangman's yard, hear ghostly tales, experience extreme darkness in the Black Hole - if you dare!

Albany's old convict gaol (or jail) was built in 1852 by convicts and is open to the public during the day as a museum and now also by arranged tour at night time.

Cost for the night tours is $10.00 per person which includes supper & a complimentary daytime pass to visit Patrick Taylor Cottage. Join a scheduled tour on Friday or Saturday nights or get a group together of 8 people or more for a special tour on a night of your choice.

Bookings are essential for the night tours - bookings can be made at the Albany Visitor Centre or by phone on 08 9841 8518 to the organiser.
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.

Hi Catseyes,
it is at the bottom of WA on the coast. Many of the famous lighthorsemen in WW1 came from Albany. A beautiful place which re-invented itself after relying on whaling for many years.

:D My best friend lives in Albany! It's a gorgeous place. We hope to move there one day too.
From Albany you can get to other great places like Pemberton, Coal Miner Beach, Elephant Rocks, Green Pool, Waterfall Beach (my favourite!) and loads of other places, well worth visiting. If you come over to WA, you should really visit our SouthWest.
If you like to surf, there are loads of places to do that too.
My other half and I went to Waterfall Beach in the middle of Summer and there was only 2 other people on the beach! Wonderful place to get away from it all!

{I think I should apply for a job at Albany Tourist Centre!}
It's not enough to believe what you see, you should see what you believe.............
